Big Sissy brought home a recipe from her Great Grandma this past weekend.  She was anxious to try it and so we went to the store to buy ingredients to make it last night.  It's so yummy, creamy with bright orange flavor. Tonight, we tried another recipe from Good Housekeeping magazine.  This time for an Indian cauliflower curry stew.  The bones of the recipe seemed good, but to tailor it to my families' likes I added half a chicken and made a few other tweaks.  The meat is purely optional so go ahead and make the meatless version if that's what suits you.  I think the flavors will still be good. 1

If you're looking for a last minute Labor Day weekend recipe, you may want to check out this blog for a great Macaroni Salad.  I made this Saturday and everybody (and I mean everybody) loved it! I used small shell pasta since that's what was in my pantry, but that's the only change I made.  I garnished the pasta with a little sprinkling of paprika before I served it and it went fast!

This is an easy throw-together type of dessert...something I grew up with my Grandma making.
