Today we're gonna start Sunday off right. The hubs fried up sausage patties and eggs. I got to making Buttermilk Biscuits. I started out with the idea in mind to make my Grandma's recipe, but realized I didn't have the right kind of flour (self rising) to attempt hers so I popped onto, my friend, Marguerite's blog. Her Grandma's recipe was more in line with what I had in the pantry and I'm glad I got to try out another of her recipes.
Everything was really good. Only thing is, I think I rolled out the first batch of biscuits too thin so they didn't rise as much as the second sheet that went into the oven. See the pic above? You probably wanna roll 'em 1/4" thicker than that. : )
